My interest in baking and cooking took off during college while I was studying pre-med. After falling in love with food and nutrition, I decided to change paths and become a Registered Dietitian (RD). I've been working as an RD for over 2 years now and it is the most rewarding job I can imagine. Helping others take the steps towards adopting a healthier way of eating and living is the greatest.
When I come home from work, I become an amateur baker/cook. I enjoy creating dishes that are tasty and fun while still having health benefits.
I believe in an overarching approach to health - mind, body, spirit. Eating delicious healthy foods, staying active doing whatever it is you love, and taking care of one's self spiritually and emotionally. Nutrition is a huge component of health, but we cannot forget that it really is just one piece of the very complex puzzle that is you.
